I got one that hitchhiked on a frag various shrooms and candaycane coral.
Is it reef safe i cannot get a pick as it iss still very small and i havent seen more of it then the end of a couple legs. its is BLUE and Black striped. it hides under the mushies.
Will this grow to be a fish killer as i have heard some will?

Most brittle stars are very safe......and most reefs have many of the small ones, they are just hard to see or find. The green brittle star (Death Star) is very green. I have a Death Star that is about 20 inches and he is a perfect citizen in my tank. OK...Ive only had a couple of small fish go missing with no body to recover but I'm still not sure it was him.

I have hundreds of brittle stars in my live rock and have not had any problems with them eating corals or fishes. I bought a great big green one who disappeared into my live rock never to be seen again, but he does not appear to be a killer, either.
