View Full Version : So I Found One of My Rics That Detached a While Ago! not where you would expect

a month or two ago a few small rics that were growing on a rock detached, and i never found out where they went. well i found one yesterday!

at first i was like, "wtf is that?" then the hermit walked closer and i burst out laughing!!

You can try wedding veil material and elastic bands.

I attach my ric by placing a piece of rock in a hanging/floating breeders box and placing the ricordea on top of the rock. It took a couple of days to attach...but I left it in the box for a week to make sure.

my urchin keeps picking up whole frags of zoas. picked up about 30 Sunshine zoas on a biggish chunk of live rock.lol. also LOVES to carry the algae clip around.

and i didnt attach this ric on purpose. i thought it had died and was gone. then this hermit walks out of the rockwork with the ric on its shell.lol

Mounting ric's is like trying to make a Anenome stay in one place, I had a couple back when I had my 230 and it would walk all over the tank leaving copies of itself everywere!!
