I am afraid I did some research and a bamboo will have to wait until I set up my 400g..too small for my 90g

oh well:sad:

I hear ya..unfortunately my 400g has a price too. The wife says it can only go in a new house. So its going to be just my 90g and my 72g for now. Hmmm , of course if the wife and kids were not around.......:twised:
oops back to reality...Its a few years away yet..

I just did a quick Google search & couldn't find a site that says these grow to only 1ft... (every link I clicked on says 36" to 40" max size)

Can you post where it says Bamboo Sharks get to only 12" max?

As far as I know Bamboo Sharks are one of the smallest true sharks & can grow to over 3ft.

Try the vancouver aquarium. They may be interested.

I hatched and grew a bamboo shark years back (then gave it to a friend that had a 280g fish only). The average size in the home aquarium is 30". I'd love to have one again but it would eat all my shrimp in my 210g reef tank. Hope you find a good home for it.

The calgary zoo has there new ray and shark tank open now, there are no sharks in there yet. I know they are going to be putting bamboos in it so you could check with them.
