Is there anyway to stop clowns from biting your hands while working in the tank other than spearing them with a turkey skewer?? :p

Seriously this is driving me nuts, I'm thinking I'm going to sell the fish and their anemone.. allthough I know would take a week to catch those buggers.

Get some peppermint shrimp. Mine fight off any fish that come near my arm - it's their territory to climb all over

My clown attacks me as well, what i have done recently is put the net in the tank that i use to catch fish or other items. He then keeps his distance , even hides till ive completed my work. Give it a TRY

put your fingers in only and flick them when they come to attack your fingers. :)

ya i poke mine with a bamboo barbecue scewer that is attached to th end of one of those long rods that come with cleaning attachments. but now if o gotta get real close i put the net by the bta it hosts in and he stays away better! sounds mean but im tired of the little bugger ( hes actually pretty big) making me jump and spill water everywhere.

But, that was after several epic jump/splash events. It works pretty well, ignoring them, until they draw blood (one time only so far).

i usually throw a net in around they're anemone....usually keeps them worried rather than aggressive.

Are you wearing any rings?? My female clowns will only attack my hand if I have my ring on.... They like the sparklyness (that is so not a word) of it...I've started taking it off now and I havn't had a problem since... Probably a silly one but thought I'd mention it...

yes...mine attack the rings and if I remove them....they might still attack but its not a steady relentless assault...

Mine bite too.

Try recruiting a family member to fend those demon seeds off with a net while you do your business!

You've got it lucky. Have you ever been bit by a puffer? Mine was only 1.5" last time it bit me and it hurt like a dickens! With teeth and jaws powerful enough to crack snail shells, I'm going to have to buy tongs when they get to 8"!
