im looking for lighting for my ten gallon tank. i would like it to be atleast 36 watts and flourecent lighting.

If your 10 gal. tank came with a plastic hood. You can install two coralife 20 watt 50/50 CF bulbs, saw this set up at big al's with coral in it.

too bad you're not in calgary :( i have a Current USA 80w light on my 10gal that needs to go in a month here.

I have a nova extreme 18" T5HO 38watt on my 10 gallon. 10000K and one actinic. Bought it at Aquarium Illusions. 69$ I think.

I tried that. It doesn't work very well at all. The color is ok for the first few months, but that's about it. Not suitable for corals long term other than maybe mushrooms or some polyps...?
