I recently purchased a pacific tunicate(polycarpa aurata)and Im kinda getting mixed info on what they do and dont feed on. Now I no that they are filter feeding but what exactly are they filtering out of the water? Got it at J&L and I no for a fact that they have had it and more for at least 5 weeks now. So the way I see it is that they cant be that difficult to take care of. Is anyone out there a specialist on these, or even better, has anyone out there had any success with these criters?

I don't think anyone really knows what tunicates feed on although they can make educated guesses. Phytoplankton would probably be a good start and probably not having a skimmer on the tank would help too

Just because an animal has survived 5 weeks in a store doesn't mean it isn't slowly starving to death

I've ben reading about Advanced Aquarium Products( combvital) sounds spectacular, but that also has people saying BS. Has anyone seen or tried this stuff yet?
