Hiya....
I was just wondering if there were many others from the coast that come to Canreef? I know there are tanks out there!

Is Powell River considered "and beyond"?

Sure!!

Do you guys have any SW fish stores? I've been there twice but it was a while ago. Do you have a reef club there?

we have 1 sw fish store here and it only sells fish, well except for the few corals i take in to trade for a bucket of salt

I'm a Powell Riverite also. As far as saltwater is concerned it sucks being here.
Have to freight a lot of stuff. Would be real interested in a club.

We should start a club, if for nothing else then to split freight costs  .

Yeah, you guys are even farther from Van, is PR close the the island then?

When I was there I think i went to a store that sells gardening supplies, fish and like...lizards. Is that the one?

Lance

No. that one sells only FW fish and supplies. The SW LFS is called Animal World. As for your other question it's a 1.25 hour ferry ride to Courtenay.

Yeah, then it'd really be worth it for you to pool your orders.

(I ask about the LFS because my husband has family in PR and if we ever go there...it doesn't hurt to know where one is ;)

I'm really suprised there aren't more clubs out there because it seems to me that most people who keep SW are REALLY into it! (I mean, you've GOT to love something that expensive and frustrating or you wouldn't do it!!)

I'm in for the sunshine coast club! That makes four of us!
I will post something at the LFS in Gibsons to see if we can get more locals to join Canreef.

For Powell Riverites,

My wife & parents are coming up on Friday so if you have anything you need, like salt, I can probably arrange for them to bring it up or I will bring it up the following week when I come up to meet them after I finish our renos.

Sure, they all count!! lol...

Reef, i think posting something at the LFS here is a good idea, maybe i could post something at the one here in Sechelt as well?
