Is that all that is wrong with it is the algae? What's the story behind it all? Did you ever treat the tank with copper?

That's it.No copper. The story is simple.I hired a mechanic to frame my house.

Was choking out my tank, and nitrates were through the roof.Any how it is all in a heated tub with power head and any peices worth salvaging have been given to a friend.Three differant types of xenia and green star polups were doing fine,as well as a coral banded shrimp and clean up crew.

$4 per pound seems expensive for rock that needs to be cooked for two months.

What does that have to do with your rock getting algae? I'm lost...
