When ones skimmer is running wet, let's say too wet, for a day and the skimmer cup fills up is it salt water or fresh?

I would stick my finger in and taste it but I thought I would try asking here first.

I am considering running my skimmer a little on the wetter side and am just wondering if it will affect my SG level draining it every day or so.

Thanks

I think what he is thinking that the skimmate has skimmed the salt water out causing the crap to become fresh. why in the world would you want to taste it:lol:

Bingo! That is exactly what I was wondering. Thus, if you skim too wet you will have to adjust your salt levels much more frequently.
