I'm trying to find a good way to make my overflow a bit more quiet. The tank is drilled in the top back - just a simple overflow. I tried a durso, but it still gurgled. Now I've got it pretty quiet on the tank end, but it's still pretty noisy going into the sump. What's the easiest way to silence that part?

Maybe try the end submerged and maybe even have the pipe at a bit of an angle so the water "slides" into the sump rather than "falls" into the sump.

You'll always get air with a Durso, that's the principle of it. Makes for a silent tank but have to deal with the air in the sump. I've got my drains submerge still have noise, good thing sump's in the basement.

No air with a Herbie.

I have the same problem with the bubble noise. I've heard that if you put a T off of your outlet and submerge one end and have the other act as a 'snorkel' where air can escape, the bubble sound will be reduced. I haven't tried it yet but it's on my 'to do' list when I have a spare moment.
