Hi, I have a coralife T5 aqualight 36" fixture, which has 21 watt tubes, and I cann't seem to find replacement tubes for this. One lfs told me to put in the 39 watt tubes in it. Will this work?

A different lfs said it will work, but will not run at full wattage,so that a 39 watt bulb might run at 20 watts? I don't think this is good for the ballast, I will wait for the proper bulbs, the lfs said they should be in the month of Feb.

Just dump it and replace it with the Hagen Glo products. Hagen makes good products and these units will run name brand HOT5 bulbs.

I tryed a 36 inch hagan glow t5 2 bulb fixture a month ago. I was quite surprised of the light it put out. It was a little pricey though for what's out there but your decision. but worth a look at.availble in the city.

36" dual glo fixture should be well under $100.

Ya, I think I paid $125...the girl gave me her employee discount, and $22-28 per bulb for Giesemann or ATI.
