Anyone have any type of angels in an LPS dominated tank? Dwarf or large angel. Was thinking about getting an Angel for my big tank once it gets going again, but I don't want to have to fish him out after munching down on some acans or something.

Hey Harvey I have a lammerick Angel in my reef, in the tank i have zoo's, bubble coral, zenia, clams, open brain, mushrooms. I did havea elegance coral and a gonipora , the gonipora wasnt doing good in my tank ,but the Elegance was getting hit hit from the angel. so elegance are not good with angels. my bain , is ok and the bubble coral.

I have a imperator angel now, and I've had singapore, lemon peel, and pygmy angels before. The only angel that I ever had a problem with was the second Singapore angel I had, it ate Kevin's brain...none of the others touched anything.

FWIW, I have a potter's angel in a tank with a bubble coral, and a couple blastomussa's. Also I just picked up an Acan frag a couple weeks ago, and so far she's shown no interest.

Do all of you keep your fish well fed? I tend not to feed too often but maybe if I keep them full all the time with daily feedings they'll be less likely to nip?

I feed at least once day, it seems to do the trick.

i think if you were to keep them well fed they would be less likly to nip.

I do indeed try to keep my fish fairly well fed. Although I only feed once per day.

I have a regal angel and there is no lps thats safe with her, she goes after them all like they were candy.

I feed very heavy with mysis, frozen angel food, nori and flake food. Being well fed hasn't made the least bit of difference :twised:
