Sorry Irene & I couldn't make it but had to work & had my parents over for dinner. Still, we had a nice meal with bbq Eel, beef stirfry, steamed "dim sum" and mixed veg.

Just wondering how the Reef dinner went? I'm sure you all had a good time. How was the food?

The food was good and the company was great. I think 11 showed up but its hard to expect to many more than that on a Sunday evening.

As soon as I sat down in the Reef Restaurant, they handed me the "Rum menu". This instantly became my favourite restaurant!

...however...I'm not inclined to attend future dinners because the opportunity to meet people and "talk tank" is very limited by the seating arrangement. Basically, you end up talking with the person beside/across from you the entire evening. It's a long evening to spend talking to only 2 people.

Best events (IMO) are still the tank tours, BBQs, frag swaps, and TomR's meeting/tank tour because I'm there to chat with everyone and those events provide opportunity to do that.

A restaurant with a private room might work better. That way, we could stand up, walk around and mingle.
