I currently have on my tank a 48" aquamedic aquaspace light, 2x150 w/2x24W PC Actinics.

I really want to upgrade to stronger lights to allow for a more diverse stocking plan.

My first preference would be to trade and/or pay the difference to upgrade for either dual mini pendants w/ballasts in either 250w or 400W, or a 48" all in unit.

I have not yet looked too much at how much brand new lights would cost but that might be the way to go and just sell this unit outright.

Anyhow.. just thoght I would throw this out there and see what is available?

Thanks guys & gals!

Well, I think I need to sell this outright so I can go and pick up a couple new pendants from Albert :)

I bought the fixture second hand myself but it is in good shape. I've had it myself for about 6 months and I figure it is about 2 years old. I have currently 14K Aquaconnect bulbs in there with ~1450 hours on them, I also have an extra set of aquamedic bulbs that were in the fixture when I got it, good for spares incase of a burn out. The PC lights are lighting fine but I would think they need to be changed in the next couple months.

She is a nice light and I would keep it but with a 250W pendant on my grow out tank it only makes sense that I get 250's on my display so I can keep a larger variety od corals.

I would like to get $450.00 OBO :) I'm open to decent offers, I am motivated to move this so I can get going forward with my reefing adventure.

.. don't mind the odd looking tank set-up, I am having a new one built as we speak :) Just another reason I want new lights.

How about $400? The MH bulbs are only 5 months old, I paid $125 each new.

ok ok ok... one last kick at the cat.. $300. That is really a steal! With it being xmas time I just cannot get the lights I need for the new tank without selling this one :(

I guess no one wants an almost free light :p

If you want to make me an offer go for it. Just don't say $50 becuase that legally gives me permission to kick you in the shin :p

At this price if no one wants it I thinks that si what is going to happen. I already have a nice PFO 250W pendant on my 60 cube for grow out.. just does not make sense having 150's on my display.

Oh well.. thats how the cookie crumbles I guess. My lighting upgrade will just have to wait until the spring.
