Seems like I've been working on the setup of this tank forever ... well last night the inhabitants finally got moved into the tank (with muchly appreciated assistance from my buddy Canadian_Man ... thanks Jonathan you are da man! 8) )

The tank is intended to be built around the needs of my ritteri anemone Heteractis magnifica. It hosts a pair of A. ocellaris clowns who breed like rabbits, spawning every 10-14 days; and shares the tank a yellow tang whose monniker is Half-Pint-O-Tang (taken pity upon, and rescued from being beaten up at a LFS tank, by EmilyB, the "Tang Whisperer." :) )

The anemone is full out around 20" from side to side on a good day. You can sort of see how big it is by comparing its size to the tank which is 48" across. These pics were taken tonight, the anemone was moved just shy of 24 hours prior to these pictures (late last night everybody got moved).

You can just make out the percs (well ... I call them percs although I really do suspect they are ocellaris technically) peeking out in this shot. They don't sit still long enough to get a good shot of them!

A picture of the anemone all by itself... He has been in my care since May 2001, so just shy of two years. 8)

When the lights have turned off for the night, I will try to take some pictures of inside the canopy to finish off my 72g hood building thread in the DIY forum.

You don't like the wires? Yeah I was thinking of heading to Big Al's or some place one day this week and getting a blue background or something like that.

Thanks guys for the nice words. It's been a VERY long slog to get to this point.

Nice work on the tank/stand/hood. :D Limo black window tint looks good on a tank like that, it's what i had on the back of my 75.

Clinton: How do you attach limo tinting? Do you have to iron it on or anything like that?

Ijust did it like i was tinting a window on a car. A lttle soap in some water, lay the tint on and squegee(<-spelling?) the water out. Clean the glass with a lint free cloth first.
