Well searching around for different stuff and I found this neato small, around 1gallon *actually 5L's, but close enough* tank. I was thinking about taking this neato tank with only a small nick on the side, which looks perfect for a desk-frag/refugian/mini coral hospital tank*ack bad spelling* and make it into a frag tank. I was gonna make up a list of everything I would need to get this going. I was thinking 20w 50/50

light or 18w/ 50/50 lights you would find on a tom deco kit, with a small filter with some algea, a tad of carbon to take out harmfull stuff and some live rock rubble. I will also be buying about a pound and a half of LR for the main section, along with sugar sand. Anything else I may need? What would look nice in this tank for corals? I was thinking a few softies and LPS, but I would like SPS corals in there too, just I wouldn't be able to sustain them.

Tank dimensions:
12"L, 6.5"W, 6"T
Its an odd build, the glass looks thicker then whats used in my 20 gallon.

Ideas? Comments? All welcome, tks.

I ran a 2gallon tank using 2 of those bulbs and can attest that you will grow coraline algae like mad. I didn't attempt to keep any coral, as I was only running it as a mantis tank.

oh, hmm, well it is a glass tank so a good magnetic cleaner should work...right? Mantis tank, oh that would look nice too, but mantis are almost as $ as corals lol. *unless i get lucky with LR*

You'll need one of those mini-mag cleaners!
