Will a Rhodactis (Hairy Shroom) damage the mantle of my Crocea, should they come into contact? I ask because a big hairy mushroom somehow came to rest right beside my clam. It's been this way for 3-4 days and I haven't noticed any adverse affects. The clam opens well and I don't notice any burning or discolouration or anything.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Yes it will, personal experience.

Smash that thing with a Stanley FUBAR.

You're welcome Drew.

At the vancouver aquarium, they have lots of shrooms growing on the shell of their clams. no adverse effects there. mind you those arent the hairy shrooms, just the normal blue variety.

Are the Rhodactis more aggressive than that Actinodiscus?

lol that's the thing. i dont know. Ive always assumed rhodactis and actino were both pretty even on stinging strength, but i certainly have no proof.
