OK, New here, as you probibally noticed. Had my FW tank for 6 years now, http://banditpowdercoat.com/Powdergallery/nfpicturepro/albums/userpics/10002/Dsc00003%7E0.jpg

and just got a 45 Ga corner tank thts going FOWLR Wasn't thinking clearly when we bought it, were looking at some stuff fro the FW tank, and they had an awesome sale on this tank. Came with a Fluval cannister filter, but I think I want sum/refugeum eventually. But the big drawback is the base, there is a devider in the center of the base, making the storage area 2 pie shapes. Pretty hard to find a Pie shaped Sump LOL. I might cut the devider to get a 10ga tank in one side.
Whats a good ratio for tank to Sum Gallonage? I dont want anything hanging on the tank really, not even wanting Powerheads, but I have resigned myself to getting a couple Korailia 3's. Just built the Surface Overflow. 1/8" black plexi, cut slots in it, and siliconed in place. Have to try to adapt the Fluval Bulkhead fittings to regular pipe's so I can make a Durso drain and attach some Linelocs on the outlet

Cut a section out of your middle brace to fit a 10 or 15 g tank in. Then brace around your cut like you would frame a door or window with a header as you would do in a house.
