Here are just a few pictures I took today of the inhabitants in my 90 gallon reef tank. Enjoy! :)

The A. ocellaris clowns breeding... the male and female are taking turns laying the eggs and then fertalizing!

Porcelin crab sitting on the brain coral... it looks very comfy!

My neon goby has set up a cleaning station on one of my monti caps, here are a couple of his visitors.

The first is not so great, I dont know why but the colors of the brazillian gramma dont make for very clear shots....

Here's some with the Anthias. They got real cozy!

The mandarin goby:

Derasa clam mantle on the underside. You dont often get to see the underside, and its amazingly colorful! There was no color adjustments at all on this photo:

Nice shots. Your tank looks really healthy. I have a squamosa right next to the glass that I see it's underside and it is quite colorfull as well. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks :)

Its a Nikon D70 w/ F2.8 60mm Macro. I think for some shots I may have had my 18-70mm lens on, though.

There are so many things I want to take pics of, like all my tiny little gobies and stuff, but they are so difficult!

Its a Nikon D70 w/ F2.8 60mm Macro.

Curse you Diana!! I went at lunchtime to go look at this lens. Ohhh my it's nice. I have a new ThingThatICannotLiveWithout that IDidNotKnowAboutYesterday. :)

No seriously, thanks for the tip. I shoot macros using a Tamron 90mm and it's a sweet lens, but I need something that's got a smaller focal length for shots where you have the whole fish (or whatever) in the frame. This lens should fit the bill nicely! Yet another thing to save up my pennies for ...

Haha yep, it was one of those things we just had to suddenly have too! But we worked it into a Christmas present :D. Its a great lens, I just have to practice adjusting the aperature to get a wider DOF.

Murimator, its a 90 gallon. And yes it is a female lyretail anthias... when I upgraded from my smaller reef I had intentions of getting a group of them, but once the other fish went in there just wasnt any room left. Its not quite a large enough tank anyways. Alas, the lone anthias is still there. Maybe one day I can get some more for her.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing with the very narrow DOF. I thought I might try a tripod on my next macro shots to see if I can get a wider DOF.

I love your tank Diana. I have always loved your aquascaping..you sure got talent! I wish you could scape my 90g like that ;). Awesome pics really nice and good choice on camera Nikon all the way! I might be picking up the D80 soon or Canon 30D havent decided yet the Canon and Nikon or neck on neck its really difficult to choose haha. I'll be waiting for more pics!
