Anyone pick up a clam from Gold's latest shipment? If so, let's see 'em! :)

Here's the one I took home this weekend:

I first tried taking a top-down shot with my SLR, it almost gets in a little too close. I had to take the others with my point-n-shoot.

Nuts, I didn't quite nail the focus in on this one. Oh well, I'll try again another day ... the colours in the mantle just absolutely blow me away.

He's still gaping a tiny little bit (at least the inhalant siphon looks hugely open to me - you can sort of see it the top-down shot in the first post), but, the mantle expansion appears good so far...

That is defiantly among the most beautiful clams I have ever seen! I would have taken it home in a heart beat. I'm looking for a clam to be a center peace of my tank.

From the looks of it, that is a really good deal.

Someone pin Tony down and someone else fish it out of his tank.

QUICK BEFORE HE FIGURES OUT THE MASTER PLAN!

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's weird, you don't notice things changing on a day to day basis. I was really shocked to see the difference from September to now.

Here's a side view:

I've been dosing with a Zeovit sponge food for about a month now. Wish I had done some photos before starting that, just to see if it that's the reason for the increased vitality.

Very nice!!! I'm starting to hunt for a good source for clams. I'll be looking for an "Ultra Grade" clam for my new tank in the next year or so.
