Had a pair of these for about 8 months until I sold them. Seemed pretty hardy assuming you find a healthy fish to begin with.

I had 1 for about 1 year. But I got him from Callum when he shut down his tank. So I voted for 2-3 years.
I also played a large role in it's death. It was 100% my fault. I'm sure I would still have it if it wasn't for my accident.

I aquired my pair from Mr_Alberta. A few months after I got them the male stopped eating one day, then the next day it wasn't swimming around and the day after it was dead. I then found another male to replace the dead one and a week or so after he was added to the tank the female jumped then within a week the male jumped too. I suspect the autofeeder that I was using at the time was the reason for all the jumping. I have had no jumpers since I stopped using the autofeeder.
