just got a good size kenya tree frag that came on a really unusual piece of ''live rock'' should i call it? it looks like a side of a clam but is bowl shaped and a centimeter thick and the coral is on the one end of it, so what i'm wondering is how i could possibly take the coral off the rock safely without any major stress or damage on the coral

leave it on the rock. If needed, bust the rock apart so it's attached to a smaller rock, but don't detach it from the rock entirely. If it's already a good size, it'll have difficulty reattaching and it's not worth taking the risk of it getting infected from cutting a large area of it.

ya thats what i think i'll do, i'll break the rock 1/2'' around him, because honestly the beauty of the coral kinda ackward when it's attached to such an unusual piece:neutral:
