Just like the title says...looking for someone who is fluent that I may be able to pick their brain on a question or two.
Thanks.

I used to be quite fluent (lived in Germany), but I haven't spoken it in years, and haven't heard it much either. You can ask, but I don't promise to know the answer :)

I'll take what I can get, and next time I'm down in Calgary I'll see if I can bring you a free frag for your help!
I just can't figure out the following sentances, and my dictionary is of no help!
- Wie viele Tage hat die Woche? (I think this is asking how many days in the week)
- Wie heißen die Tage? (What the days are called)
- Wie viele Monate hat das Jahr? (How many months in the year?)
- Wie heißen die Monate? (What are the month's called)
- Scheint die Sonne oder regnet es? (something about the sun shining or else?!)

Have you seen this? It worked pretty well... Turned this:
- Wie viele Tage hat die Woche?
- Wie heißen die Tage?
- Wie viele Monate hat das Jahr?
- Wie heißen die Monate?
- Scheint die Sonne oder regnet es?
Into this:
- Like many days the week has?
- As the days are called?
- Like many months the year has?
- As the months are called?
- Seems the sun or rains it?
The translations made me laugh. Imagine a varsity girl with a thick german accent... "Like many days the week has?"
:)

I found this interesting - babelfish.altavista.com provided word-for-word the exact translations. Not the slightest difference. Hmmmm, someone is using the same translation software as the other. :)

I've been using the babelfish site for years now to help me write to my french speaking relatives. I didn't even know Google has a language translator.

Spot on. Good job! And Matt was right--it's asking if it's sunny or raining.

I used to live in Germany, can't really speak the language but understand in general. And seems your translation is good..

Thank you all very much for your help. Sometimes I get so confused between english, french, latin, and german, I just forget everything!
