Well I have been testing my Ph for the past 24hrs to see what the fluctuation throughout a 24h period is. I have found that with my highly lit reverse refugium it almost dosent fluctuate.
Results: durring the daytime halide period on the main tank it's 8.51
durring the nighttime refugium lighting period it's 8.45
Diffrence = 0.06 which in my opinon is almost nothing.
Anyway so my question is, is a ph of 8.5 too high?
This is the ph with my calcium reactor running!

Are you sure your Ph is that high. What are you using to measure it?

I am using my new milwakee ph moniter from Saltwater connection.
I just calibrated it 3 days ago.
Delphinius(Tony) is going to try to make it over today to mesure it with his same moniter.

What did you do differently in the calibration? (Sorry I wasn't able to come over tonight, but should we still do the comparison thing tomorrow?)

Nothing really diffrent. I just let them sit at room temp instead of in the tank but that should have made no diffrence as you adjust the temp dial when calibrating anyway.
I think the monitor may have shifted cause it was giving the same reading at first on but then the next day it was out. I had it sitting in my effluent cup instead of the tank water but I cant see how that made any diffrence.
So anyway at midnight on Thursday the ph is comming in at 7.98 so 8.0.
