Just wondering what people think about the Crocs shoes. I just bought a pair and I don't know if I just have to break them in or what but I find the bumps on the inside part of the shoe sort of annoying. Other than that they are comfortable. What does anyone else think?

Most comfortable shoes EVER (aside from a pair of Børn's that I had), but a bit of an eyesore :)

Ditto. In fact they're almost too comfortable. I accidentally wore mine to a job interview once  That was a bit embarassing as they're a rather striking shade of blue  I normally use them for gardening. oh mine aren't real crocs, they're fakies from MEC

Comfortable, yet quite hideous. Plus I have read you can no longer wear them in hospitals, etc. because they cause static that messes with the machines. Anyone else heard that?

Heh, I wouldn't be surprised. I bet you can get quite a charge going, scuffing them along the carpet. Ooh my project on the poor unsuspecting boyfriend when I get home <zap!>
Never, never, never. Thats was until my family convinced me how comfy, cheap and easy to slip on & off, they were. Now I own a couple pairs.

So here's my follow-up question: if they're SO ridiculously comfy, yet verifiably hideous...why doesn't CROCS make normal-looking shoes with the the comfry CROC-ness we've all come to know and love? Hmmmm?

Your feet will get used to the bumps, etc. Just takes a bit of time.
I know crocs are still allowed here at the UofA hospital. I still see them frequently.

LOL - experiment on the boyfriend! Now I have to pick up some crocs on the way home (I do not own any) and try some "experimenting" of my own.
Maybe the hospital scare thing was just a rumour. I cannot remember where I heard it from.

crocs are so ugly, i dont care how comfortable they may be, i wouldnt be caught dead in them. When i first saw them around back when only a few people wore them, i thought those people were...special. Little did i know that they just didn't have much taste in footwear.

I only ever wore them after climbing. They were a nice change after climbing shoes, but my puppy destroyed them, so now they are gone. Oh well!
with all the stuff crawling around in hospitals I'd feel more comfortable with hip waders

hmmm, notice the open toe, I wonder if that would protect one from bodily fluids, which one would expect to come into contact with in the hospital.
cheers
Judging by the number of these shoes I see on other peoples feet I must be one of the few people that don't care for them. I have tried both the croc's and the dawgs.
I find that they make my feet sweat like a SOB and when I walk in them I can feel every little rock and pebble that I am walking on.
Give me a good pair of Lucchese riding boots any day.

There are several pairs in our house,my wife loves them.I finally got a pair for around the house and the beach and think they are ok.My daughters have the dawgs and they seem to be softer on the feet in the heel area.krisdeann wears them at the pharmacy and they seem to help releive the stress of standing all day.

Thinking of getting a pair too. For around the house. I've heard they don't stink like cheese like flip flops do.

Surprisingly they do not stink. And yes I admit I did just check, curiosity got the better of me!
