That guy from OregonReef got owned couple months back too.

But like Mr. T says, "I pity the fool whose tank has overheated! I pity the fool!"

wow that must realy SUCK. What do you guys do to keep your tanks cool without buying a chiller?

Unless you have problems with overheating year round, I highly reccommend a window air conditioner instead of a chiller. Not only have my tanks not gone over 82 but my livingroom is a great place to be right now and it cost less then $500 last year at canadian tire.

I thought of something might be stupid but freeze a bottle of water and place it in the sump.

Hey Christy...I just read that thread the other day and thought of you, I guess no matter how bad you think you have it, someone has it worse!

You can always freeze blocks of RODI water and just drop them in your sump too.

Yup, one of THE most awesome tanks I have ever seen - gone.

It wasn't an inspiration for me or anything, but I'd be a damned fool if I couldn't see all the time and dedication for the hobby put into that tank. It was simply stunning enough in photos.

You mean those corals aren't supposed to look like that?
