age of empires

This has nothing to do with water .. but has anyone ever played age of Empires..and have you tried the new version-age of cynics ...or whatever its called? I have been a fan of the game for years and was wondering if the new game is any good.

Haha, its called Age of Myths. Nice title tho :P I haven't tried it but Age of Empires is a pretty cool game.

I like the game....except I haven't beaten the 3 computer tag team on hardest. 1 or 2...okay, but 3 is just insane. What's your favourite army ?

In age of empires I like the turks. I usually play against 3 computer opponents on moderate. I have taken out 4 on hard but it takes quite a while...and If I sit at my computer too long..well my girl starts adding thing to my to do list. I was hoping to get it for xmas, but we'll see...I might have to break down and buy it....

I like the game but I can't swallow the cost of $70.00 when the engine of the game is identical to Age Of Empires. The only difference is the characters and what they do. This is why people burn CD's cause the manufactures always scam us. $10.00 says in 4 - 6 months an add-on comes out for $49.99 that adds 2 new races and a new agility to each other race.

What I would really like is a turn based strategy game. When I was in high school I used to do war gaming with Napoleonic characters. This was cool and fun. Now all games are based upon actual events and you can't really change the sequence very well. If I ever make some money I will bring togther some programmers to make better games - less graphics more game.

in this day in age it isnt hard to get the a free copy with in minutes of looking but i have been with this series since the original aoe.but the tue tron and the french where the best in the kings version.but the koreans had the best tech and the best boats

i am the worst strategy player ever. i'd have trouble with one opponent on moderate. i never got past the third level of red alert. i prefer shoot-em-ups.

Have AOK and AOM and AOC,

Im pretty addicted myself.

AOC rocks !, turks are ok, but when in deathmatch mode jannissaries seem to be too expensive of a special unit to reproduce constantly.
But all their gunpowder units are good tho.

Do you play on the zone Ross ?

Age of Myth is also an excellent game, But ESO sucks bad.
There are way too many bugs in this game and in ESO and it is not nearly as user friendly.

Until they get a good initial patch on the AOM game to correct uneven civs and game room interface ,i will not play it anymore.

Good to hear theres other local addicts out there,its rare that i play multiplayer with fellow Canadians.

fudge I do not play on the zone...but I do/would play on line (IP connection). I am learning AOM but it is quite a bit different from AOK. If your about some night..and AOK is OK I'd be interested(Especially on Wednesday nights). I have only played against the computer .. so I should be an easy mark.

Hi Ross,

AOC=Age Of Conquerers.

It is an expansion pack, game fix and 5 more civs to choose from.
(a definate improvment over the original AOK) and cheap too.
Play with fellow rooks on the zone and record the games,you can watch your enemies techniques and learn fast. (after you get wooped of course ;) )

I think the expansion pack is now 29.00.

Get your zone name thru launching it from the game links in your game.

Then let me know what your name is on there, and well......we start killing each other ;).

Or give me your ip# (also tell me if your launching aok or aoc) and then tell me a game time for you to launch one...and ill join in for a 1v1.

duhhh...Of course I have the conquerors edition, I have the box right on the shelf beside me, I can't believe I missed that. I like it the best.

We should pick a night .. give me a chance to see how it's played.
