Thanks a lot for the kind remarks everybody. It's still got a ways to go before it reaches what I'm striving for but it has come a long way since the teardown & restart 7 months ago. :changes:
Thanks again,

The picture of my sump for whatever reason never made it onto the page, but there are two pictures of my refugium posted right above the subtitle: Refugium. There is a full front shot(with the blurred firefish&flame angel rh side) and one of a few of the corals I have in there (basically center tank)....devil's hand, mushrooms, colt and a birdsnest(with a yellow clown goby in it). The blurry lines about 1/3 of the way in on each side is where the tank bends for the hex front. Also that spotted wrasse, orchid dottyback and marine beta are all in the "fuge". I can always post more if you want but I thought that would probably suffice. Oh to avoid any confusion the gorgonian and dragon pipe are in the main display but those other two pictures are of the refugium, along with all the livestock listed under it. Oh and for the record "Halimeda durvillei" should read "Halymenia durvillei." Now you likely know more than you wanted about the "refugium"
Thanks Ruth & thanks again Marc,

Sorry Christie I wasn't trying to be accusitory, there was a mix up on my end with several pictures I thought I was sending that when you received them turned out to be the wrong file.
You did a great job.

:onfire: What an outstanding tank to be featured. Beautiful corals. The time and effort you must put into your passion, shows in the excellent write up and photo shoot you sent Christy. I mentioned to her, the research that went into including all the correct names of corals & fish, shows your dedication.

You have indeed, provided a superb read for us to enjoy and look at. Congrats.

Now I,m going to look at more pics.

Thanks Reefan, since I had the tank but no room to hide it I opted to try and make the refugium into something that I could use as a second display.
Thanks,

I have to admit, I continually flip back and forth to your TOTM thread, its so pretty!

How do you test your parameters? Do you use digital monitors, like Pinpoint, or do you do it the old fashion way with test tubes and chemicals?

Thanks Catherine I'm glad you like it.
I do my testing (and I hate to admit this) only occasionally and use old school test kits, test tubes & chemicals, etc. Over time one gets to know their system and what it uses and requires so I generally test no more than once every 2-3 months. I will test if I think there is a problem but then again I also have some corals that act like a "canary in a coalmine" so if they look distressed I know that a particular element is low or high and then correct it.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak-peek of your writeup and photos before I left on holidays. It was immediately clear the time and effort you put into this hobby. Would like to see it in person again sometime. It looks a lot different than the last time I was over.

Congratulations on a well-deserved TOTM feature Greg!!

Now I really, really want to setup my new tank so I can stuff it full with fabulous sps pieces as well.

I got about half of my collection from others in the hobby with whom I've bought from and/or traded with, and most of the rest of my stuff from the suppliers I mentioned in "acknowledgements" in my write up.

I just realized today that I had neglected to thank Tony (delphinus) for his contribution. There are a few of the photos that were in my presentation that he took and I appologise for not mentioning that earlier. Sorry about that Tony and thank you.
Cheers!

No problem Snappy :) Glad I could play a small role in a totm, goodness knows the day I ever get the nod for a totm is probably in a different lifetime ;) so if at least a picture I take makes it that's honour enough
