Frag I got the end of feb. This one tried to go back home glued to Anthonys fingers

This one is a shining example of how tough corals actually are. It spent about 3-4hrs out of the water in a stainless steel sink and then had a cold coffee bath before it was put back in the tank

Sump that Anthony spent his 24hr vacation building for me (Thanks Anthony, It's a huge improvement over the old one )

and for anybody who has seen my tank and noticed something missing in the photo...this is what I did with all my euphyllias.
It's a 60g cube, I still need to put more rock in there and I'm patiently waiting for my truck driver husband to come home again so he can build me a canopy with vho lights

Hi Marie

Your tank looks great. It is amazing how well your corals grow.

Marie,

I'm literally beside myself seeing your coral growth for such a short period of time. Now my chair is too crowded, so I figure you owe me a couch to surf Canreef on. <grin> Very nice looking tank your growing. Inspires me even more to grow my little frag farm into something like that!

So tell me the truth, do you talk to your corals like some gardeners talk to their plants to make them grow???????????????????????

You'll have to stand in line, he's only home every 4 to 6 weeks and I have a honey-do list a mile long

Hi TomR http://mazeguy.net/happy/wave.gif I have no idea what I'm doing right but I'm even too scared to do a water change at the moment in case I screw things up

Will this couch do I think I could get it pretty cheap

and yes I talk to my corals doesn't everyone? You should hear what I said to my torch coral after it killed off a 4" square piece of a yellow monti cap. My kids think I'm right off my rocker

It's perfect, does the new fangled color tv come with it??

My kids think I'm right off my rocker
Oh a rocker, what a great idea! It's like having a wavebox, without the cost!!

Very nice, very very nice, you are obviously doing a lot of things right for that kind of growth, I was excited about 1/4 inch of growth in 4-6 weeks but wow look at you go.

Looks great Marie! I can't believe the growth you're getting, must be something in the water up there  That stag is really taking off, is it going to hit the water surface soon?

marie

The stag is at least an inch away from reaching the surface. It's the green monti that will break through first, it's less then half an inch away

Marie the corals look great but that couch looks like it's suffering a bit, probably STN, maybe adding a little more flow will bring it back around.

Marie,

I'm starting to think that you should post a TOTM type thread, so you can give all of us the downlow on what your doing to acheive such great growth!

I am so jealous!

I have no idea what i'm doing  .
I have a shallow sand bed that i never vacuum because it's full of life, I have lots of different pest algaes growing in the main tank that I try to ignore, I have a crappy skimmer that i'm lucky if it gives me a cup of skimmate a week (it's very thick and chunky though), my alk and calcium are constantly dropping because I can't keep up with the demand, I feed a rather large amount of food to the fish every day trying to keep the angel from eating the corals, I have an angel that regularily prunes all the acros...in short everything that is not a good thing for an sps tank lol

That's how nature does it in the wild reefs.
