I am making a stand to raise my skimmer about 3" in my sump.

The stand will be made of a flat rectangle of acrylic, with 1" pvc pipe for legs.

I need to bond the legs to the acrylic.

It does not need to be super strong, there won't be a lot of force causing stress on the bond. Basically the stand would work without any glue but I don't want it to topple over accidentally.

Any idea what sort of glue to use?

Weldon 40 is the best, haven't tried anything else

My understanding is that gluing acrylic to acrylic is the same as to any other plastic like pvc. so as was already pointed out, weldon 40 is probably the best option for you.

For just securing legs, silicone might work. WO 40 is a 2 part formula that might be a bit too much trouble

You could use a threaded male adapter on the end of the legs, drill 4 holes in the acrylic, then secure the legs with a female threaded cap. No glue needed.

Weld on 16 works fine.
