View Full Version : Algae ID ?

Started to get these lately(some just in front of the palys and others spread around when you get looking). Shaped kinda like a banana, white at the root and green toward the ends and very tuff stuff. Had a small patch last year just before I moved. Now they are coming back, but spreading all over. Anyone have any idea what it might be and how to get rid of ? Sorry for the lousy pic,poor camera and they seemed to blur no matter what.

Neomeris annulata. Its calcium based. It comes and goes in my tank, I've never had it grow to plague proportions.

Good lord, thats quite the infestation. If I start to get too many I just yard some out. For the most part I only seem to get them in clumps of one or two, then they disappear again.
Looks kind of cool though :wink:
