So I noticed that I left my phytoplankton out for at least a day, maybe two. I know you have to keep this stuff refrigerated so I'm curious if it's toast or do you think it's salvageable? I hope it's OK since it's so much $ for a bottle. Thanks in advance.

You can leave it out....when it dies it just falls to the bottom.....So when it all dies you are left with clear water!!!

So if it's still green it's still good!!

is the container water or a thick paste? Ive only used pasty stuff. It's supposed to smell like freshly cut lawn. If it smells like sulfur (rotten eggs) then it's bad and strongly acidic. Ive dealt with a couple of bad bottles that have made me want to throw up... even if it's refrigerated the stuff can still go bad!

I've never found that stuff to be that pasty to be honest and I've always found it stinks to high hell.

I did the same thing and it smelt like the beach at low tide on a nice hot sunny day.
Hmmm toss it or toss out everything it could kill...
It is $ but if it is bad that could be $$$$
So I tossed mine
