Now - I know this is a very, very ghetto idea of a plenum, but after getting a few suggestions from Midknight, I figured I'd give it a shot! I know this isn't going to do MUCH in the way of de-nitrifying, but I figure it's better than just leaving it the way it was, and it gave me something to do while I watched The Departed last night :) (great movie, btw - see it if you haven't!!)

Here's what I was going to use as my sump stand:

And here's with the garden cover on:

I didn't have any LR to add into it, but there's a nice amount of space in there, and my skimmer will sit on top with the overflow dumping water on it, it'll be a nice slow flow, hopefully :)

Thoughts?

Hey Nick,

Leave some opening on the sides. You will want the critters to get inside it to start polishing the water for you.

ahhh, right on. Okay - I'll cut a few tiny holes in there so they can get in. We're talkin' about "teeny" creatures, right?? ;)
