I have a squamosa clam that has not opened in about 3 weeks. It all started when my Co2 ran out for my calcium reactor, it took about a week to finally get it filled and up and runnig again. To this day it still has not opened up.

water parameters are fine. NO3 is nill, alk/ Kh and calcium are right on par. mg is perfect. I am just baffled as to why it will not open up.

any ideas???

thanks

Gord

Something could be picking on it.....I had that problem and found out that my Lunar Wrasse was eating my clams....I lost one clam before I caught him in the act!!!

I had the same thing happen. Clam was living with the same fish for months with no problems then one day it was closed and would only come an 1/8 " out. Turned out one of my fish decided to start pecking at it.
That would be my first bet.
