I feel a little bit like an IDIOT asking this, but anyone wanna sell me some RO water? Setting up a new 35ish gallon tank and need RO water to fill it. I've been "borrowing" bottled water from work for small 4 gallon water changes on my 10 gallon, but I think 7 bottles of water missing might be noticed.;)

just let your water sit for 24h then use a phosphate remover.for an initial fill for a 35g tank its ok cause your gona have to do a few water changes anyway

Edmonton water has chloramine in it. It will not out gas like chlorine you need to use a water conditioner if use tap water.

I buy mine from Safeway, it's pretty cheap. One of the LFS may be willing to sell you some also.

Hi E-Treme,
FWIW I've set up quite a few SW tanks and have never used R/O water to start (unless it's a little Nano). I just use tap water and conditioner. Your tank will have to cycle anyways before fish and corals are added and go through algae/diatom blooms etc... any phosphates, silicates, nitrates etc... will be used up there. If you were worried about other trace elements you could go overboard on the carbon to start as well.
