Our eight year old Little Giant just died. Would like to replace with something with more GPH, no time to research. Can you help?

I've been using one of these on a 220, it seems pretty good. I know they are available in town.

What size is your plumbing? I like my Sequence pumps i have a snapper and a dart. I also have a Red Dragon pump that is very very very good, Overkill for me but I paid for it so :). Is the return going through like an OM or something?

Need 1" in and out. OM? I don't think I can find a Sequence quickly enough.

When I was researching pumps a while ago Golds kept sequence pumps in stock. I know Elite carries a lot of equiptment too maybe give Colby a call (253-8123). I have an old little giant pump that came with my tank you can take for free, I have no idea if it works though, at the least you could use it for parts. PM me if you want it.

OM - Ocean Motion - If you don't know don't worry :)
Yes Golds has sequence pumps I believe they have snappers and darts (they did when i looked) western pump has little giants in stock if that is what you want as well as most plumbing you'd need at cheaper than ANY of the LFS's :) Wai's has iwaki's in but even with shipping from j&l, J&l is still cheaper..wai's is around the 330-350 price for an iwaki. The Snapper has a 2 inch intake and a 1.5 inch discharge though. (plumbing that is less than fun)

Thought the Sequence, Snapper and Darts types were more of a hi volume, low head pump, more suited for CLs than returns?

It was metioned more flow was being sought so it was a suggestion to use the sequence's
I used a dart as a return but it was used with quite a few return holes with loc-line on them. So it worked well. But generally they are a bit much for a return pump yes but many people use them in this application as they are far more reliable than say a ocean runner or sedra or a mag. Since mag, sedra and ocean runner pumps generally are not that could when used inline they are more for submersible applications. Whereas if you need inline the sequence are nice, provided you know enough about how to minimize cavitation etc. For a return pump I would look at a little giant before i would use a sequence though for most applications.

Here is the spec sheet for little giant aquarium pumps (note some of them are fairly loud ie 4md(whatever..i forget the model exactly if you can keep it in the stand or another room its real quiet though :) )

Here's the info on two sequence pumps. Snapper and dart

Thanks guys so much. I'm a bit confused, but that is normal. Couldn't find anything we were after today with limited time after work, but will try Elite tomorrow.

Hope the fish are okay one more night.

Deb was it a LG4? I think I've got one around here if you need to borrow one. It hasn't been run in a year or two (it's my spare) but last time I checked it still ran. If you need to borrow it to buy you some time let me know.

The sedra 2000 works great for me and can be used semerible and external. It has 1 1/2 in and 1" return. Golds carries them. Also fairly quite. I only notice it running at night.
