Most likely pvc, the ones i bought there were pvc, burn some if it goes up like crazy its abs :)
Do you have to glue it Neil (threaded/ non threaded)? I don't glue the threaded variety.
there is one that will have to be glued- the rest are threaded.
It's probably ABS- mine were.

If you need to glue one to the other ,you can use ''transition glue''.You might have to go to a plumbing supply place .
You can get PVC to ABS glue at Home Depot or Rona. It's next to the PVC glue and primer.

Bingo- ABS

Black is usually ABS white and Grey are PVC
If it is ABS they are not rated for potable water, you should be using PVC fittings for aquariums.

weird- Albert, care the chime in?
BTW there are such things as black PVC fittings.
ABS fittings can be used in aquariums. they are not rated for potable water applications because most ABS is cell cast and is not designed to withstand the high pressures used in potable water applications (sched.40, sched.80 etc...). Our aquariums don't acheive those kind of pressures however.
I am using a ABS street el in a durso because at the time I couldn't locate a PVC one. The algae always is very heavy on the ABS and minimal on the PVC, makes me wonder why.
