Got some fragging done - more to do tomorow... Gotta get ready for the new frag system :D

Frags are all mounted on proper boston aquafarm frag plugs/discs.

Acanthastrea Lordhowensis: 15$ 3 polyps.

Green Favia 10$ 3 polyps.

Acanthastrea Echinata 15$ (These guys are a bit washed out at the moment (change in lighting), showing a lot more orange now though) 2-3 polyps.

Hrm... Fragging always goes downhill quick :) Dropped a rock...

Any interest in (the yellow ones):

I lied - they're more green now... darn color shifts! (In my 3g they're still bright yellow, in this tank they've gone green).

Let me ponder price - will largely depend on how many good polyps per frag. I can tell there's 5 frags with 4-5 polyps open already, but there's a fair number of unopened polyps too.

Andy how the heck to you frag acan and favia? Just take a chisel and hammer and bust it up?
Love that acan BTW

Pictures of the frags themselves, gimme a day or two - they're currently in the fuge section of the sump... Which isn't photogenic ;)

Ruth - I grabbed one of those nice diamond tipped cutting sets from princess auto (40 bits 14$) chisel/hammer works but I prefer to undercut the polyps with the dremel, and use a cutting disc to separate the polyps - thus the original colony can continue to spread outwards. When you just bust off a corner, the expansion slows because they move onto a different plane (downwards instead of to the side - which causes lighting issues) doesn't look as nice either - at least imho.

BTW, for the acans - wont be letting them go until later this week... want to make sure they recover from fragging before letting them go.

Ruth - Not the greatest time of year - but we could look into shipping...

Good representation of size / plugs - Acans are fresh cut - not indicative of quality just yet (I'll put up some macros tuesday/wed once they've settled). That's a cheapie 14k HQI bulb - if you're wondering about lighting.

Surprising the response this time around, so I'll cut some more tuesday. Plenty of frags available...
