That's cool. I ordered my fourth vortech this morning so this sounds promising. I'm still a little disappointed about all the upgrades that are needed for these pumps and the things that I've had to do to get the original two working that I bought when they first came out in the States but I guess that's normal when buying the newest technology.

Great, paying for upgrades, it's like owning Microsoft products.

I looked at the vortech at Hidden Reef and was impressed, then I saw the price tag and thought... um.. cool for some rich guy. I thought Tunze was expensive, it's a neat idea though and if it were half the price I'd go with it but I can't justify $400 for a power head.

so what they are saying for us owners, 50 bucks gets you the new driver as well as a single controller?

Where do i sign up.

No one is FORCING you to buy the upgrade. It's not like the pump is a piece of junk without it...

I think $50 for the upgrade plus controller is a great deal.

Anyway, Sean, check out the IceCap support forum on RC.

So im trying to sift through all that stuff on reef central, could someone correct me if i am wrong.

1. This is just a heads up since the driver wont be ready till spring anyways.
2. I have to be without my pumps drivers till they send me new ones?
3. When do i have to get this done?

Yes I was impressed with the vortechs installed in a friends tank (400g), though the lack of "extras" keeps me with tunze and it will till the vortechs are a little more flexible.
