I'm thinking about adding a refugium to my setup to grow cheata algae for nutrient export but I'm still a newbie so I don’t want to worry about plumbing/extra pump/etc. I was thinking about modding a AC70 or AC110 to a mini HOB refugium but then I saw the CPR AquaFuge Hang-On Refugium on J&L:

Anyone on CR currently use the AquaFuge Hang on Refugium? thoughts? reviews?

Well this is my next "big" project.

So let's get back to the subject. Can we get some review on the CPR hang-on refug. Pros and Cons?

I've had one for some time now on my 24 gal tank. It's great for the space issues since I can't have a separate sump or fuge where the tank is located. Chaeto grows well in it even though they are only a few inches wide. Haven't experienced any problems with it at all. I'd like to try one of the aquafuge ps - with the protein skimmer built in. A small skimmer like the Fission (not that good) would also fit into the aquafuge. Perhaps the new Rio nano skimmer too, but I haven't tested that theory yet.
