Hey guys , anybody using a Tanze wave box for 50-65 Gal tank?
Is 65 gal would be too small? It is rated for min 50 gal.
Should i go with a Wave box and one nano stream or two nano streams on Tunze multy controller?
Some one told me that in 3 feet x18"x24" tank the wave siquence might be too short
Any thought would be apreciated thank you.

I have been looking into a wavebox for my new system, from what I have read you need a clear path from one end to the other for it to work effectively, which may be hard to do in your tank. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuVL6nYEqmc) is a wavebox on a 75.

From the video, think the noise would put me over the edge.

A 75g is usually 4' long.

To my understanding, the wavebox is tuned to perform best on a 6-foot tank. Shorter tanks will result in a smaller wave being produced. I seem to recall Roger Vitko of tunze saying in the RC tunze forum that a wavebox in a 4-foot tank may not be worth it given the smaller waves it produces relatively to the amount of room it takes up.

I am not sure how it will work on a 4 foot tank. I just added one to my 6 foot 180G and it is great. You do have a lot of control over the amount and size of wave. I have throttled the controls right back and I now have about a 3/4" wave. The wave structure runs from the bottom to the top of my overflow openings. Ask your LFS to demo the wavebox in a 4 foot tank before you buy it or what is their return policy if you can not make it work in your tank.

Hmm, I stand corrected. If Roger says it's a go, then I have no doubt it is!

I am planning one for my 90, I saw the one in Props 90 last year and it worked great.

Hey Guys thanks a lot for your input.
My 65 Gal is only 3 feet long, however Wave box is 5"x5"x12" so it won't take That much room, I have Tunze stream 6100 and multi controller so i am thinking to give wave box a try, also preordered a Nano stream 6055. So hard to make a decision! I kinda like the wave box slow motion. With the Tunzes only i will get a sudden flow or no flow.
Hmm... always wanted a wave box... Woud yo do it in 3foot long tank?

I don't think you have the length in a 3 foot tank to make much of a wave, plus the real estate it takes up is significant.

Are you going to be upgrading to a larger tank soon? Think of it as a future plan purchase , Tunze stuff is top shelf!!!
