Il ove your conch! Mine just died a day ago, as I fond his shell emptied out on the power head:sad: Not sure if urchins are inverts but here is one of mine, and a couple others.

I'll keep that offer in mind if I ever come down to Edmonton :D.

Is bright coloration like that rare? The ones that I've seen at LFS are more of a darker reddish color.

Nice shot Danny, did you get the Goby and the shrimp already paired up or did they take to each other on their own?
I've been looking for a pair for my tank.

Thanks guys. I bought them at BA's over a year ago as a pair, put them in the tank at the same time and they've been together ever since.

The pistol does a great job of keeping the underside of the rocks clean. He also collects rubble from around the tank to use in his reno's, so the sandbed is free of unsightly rocks. The only down side to having one is that they will make food out of things like chromis and other dumb fish.

Not sure if its rare or not. I had 3 of them (all the same bright red) which I had got on an order a few months back. Unfortunately I lost the other 2 in our recent move.

Ryan, what an awesome idea for a post. Inverts are indeed so cool.

So far I love the Peacock Mantis and Jason's three eyes conch. LOL

Any more pictures of these guys?

I will have to take pic's of my interesting inverts this evening. :)

for those of you who are unsure as to what qualifies as an invert, think of it this way. there are two kinds of lifeforms, those with a spine or without. those with one are vertebrates, without are invertebrates. so vertebrates would be mammals like us, or fish etc. invertebrates include insects, cephalopods, crustaceans etc. hip hip hooray for biology.

man Id put up some pics but i dont have any... getting a mantis shrimp some time soon though!

Here is my ghetto decorator crab done up in halymenia and cyno. ( not sure why it gets dressed up in red and then hangs out on a clump of green cheato thinking it's camoflaged)

I just picked up the program myself.

I'll be asking you for some tutoring in the future. :)

All awesome pictures. I think the critters are better than fish.
I have never been able to figure out how to post pictures on this site, I think they are all too big in file size, but I've got some cool ones. I guess you'll have to imagine.

See? Cool huh?
