 is there anyway to do a overflow without drilling holes please help. it is a 55 gal reef tank ,running for 1 year 70 lbs live rock a leather , aton of zoos ,exina, hammer coral ,frog spawn, kenya tree coral , flame angle , purple dodyback, 2 firefish, jawfish , it has a externl prism protein skimmer, 2 seio 620 gph powerheads , a fluval 304 (yes it sucks) ,and corallife 130 watt 50/50 compacts. I hate the fluval and would like a sump but dont want to drill holes or I'm going to get a "EHEIM" filter. I dont want to drill holes because when I buy a house in about a year I will buy a 150 - 200 gal tank and do it right

You can use an overflow box. Something like this: http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/details/overflows.php?product_ID=of-cs050

... but there are many different kinds and manufacturers. They are not foolproof, but will work in a pinch.

I used one for a year before I got a drilled tank... as Tony said it will work but its not as safe as having the tank drilled
