Here's a link to my pics of my new breeding pair of blue diamond discus. Yeah, I know, they're freshwater, but still very pretty & cost is comparable to marine fish too:)

My Blue Diamond discus paired off & started breeding :D

These are full-sized adult Blue Diamonds, but in the 160g, they must be happy with the room they have. I've been feeding the tank about 8+ cubes of frozen bloodworms daily, as well as some flake, pellets & fd krill.
There are 14 discus total in the 160g, and these are the first to pair off.

They just did this last night. Big surprise for me this morning.

The picture looks an awful lot like text and not like a blue diamond discus at ALL. I did notice that the text is blue, though. :p

Nice discus. Excellent attempt at recruitment of new members to that other board

Very cool Anthony - a soon to be new DAD! If I were ever to attemp fresh water it would definately be the Discus that I would want to have. I have heard lots of work though with huge water changes.

Haha Christy.

I just can't seem to post pics on Canreef, probably because of pixel size. It's easier for me to post on the other site & then post a link. Definitely not trying to recruit, since its members are 95% freshwater & very few serious salties. I do both, so I like to participate here for my salt fix & there for my fresh fix.

When I have more time, I'll try to figure out how to post pics directly onto Canreef, maybe from my photobucket account.

You can always post the pic there, then just insert the link (right click the pic, click properties and copy the link) using tags.

I find photobucket works best

Ok. That worked. What happened to Canreef's [img] button? When I try to post pics as a file, it doesn't allow me due to image size. Oh well, I'll just use this copy/paste method instead.

Thanks Christy.

I fixed up your "message editor" in your profile. You should be able to see everything you need now. The IMG links can be added by clicking on the little yellow square (picture button)

Hi Anthony

I am impressed, so when did you add the Discus?

About a month ago. Not in the position to raise the young, so I sold the breeding pair to someone who will dedicate the time & space to raising the young. I have several other adults and juveniles in my 160g planted now.
