View Full Version : Cutting Acrylic

Hey guys just wondering if anyone can point me in the wright direction when it comes to cutting acrylic. Tool are not a problem just wondering about blades and technics. I have a table saw and a skill, soo ya.

Wondering if you can just go at it or if you need water to kool it or perhaps an oil for lube, umm the stuff i got is pretty thick 3/8's so ya

Start with a proper blade for your table saw. It makes a lot of difference. Expensive blades can be sent out for resharpening so they should last a long time. A router is also very useful. I like to use a 1/4" upcut spiral flush trim bit for template tracing and a 1/2" two fluted flush trim bit for most of the rest.
No water or other coolant for this type of cutting. Maybe for drilling large holes with a drill press.
