I've got one of the moneymart prepaid MC's - use it for those online purchases where one's not 100% sure of the seller...

No complaints - it works; fees are pretty high, but it's nice having the ability to load it up with just enough, so any 'extras' get NSF'd.

i use the same one for pretty much the same reasons. It's also nice to have an extra $100 sitting there in case my bank does something stupid or there is a network problem with interac. I don't have a regular CC so that's a good backup.

Glad you brought this up.After paying off my 2 credit cards, they met a pair of scissors. Now I miss them for the online purchases and was thinking of a prepaid card.

Do you receive a bill with a prepaid credit card? Also, are all able to be reloaded? I know Bell has one, which cost $2, and you can put however much you want onto it, but I think its only one time use?

I already have a normal CC, but, as some of the reason's mentioned earlier, it could come in handy!

I've got one thru Capital One - they treat it like a regular CC, ie. monthly statement, etc. Quite handy.

Ahh, so they let you know how much is left on it at the end of each month or something? And its somewhat like a debit card in terms of money being present on the card in order to be used?
