Hello everybody. I'm new to the forum and I thought I'd share some pics of my 90 gallon reef that I also posted on a local forum here in Winnipeg. This is my very first SW tank, so its not the greatest looking tank but I did my best. In the future I plan to upgrade to a bigger tank once I'm done school.

And this is what happens when a mag 3 pump falls from a skimmer, and causes havoc for about 3-6 hours (happen over 2 months ago).

My tank has been runnging for a little over a year now. It's mainly a softy and LSP reef, but I also have some SPS frags.

Hey Bud...tank looks awesome. Don't belittle yourself man..it looks great. Every tank is a work in progress and even the best of them had to start where you and I have and many others as well. Keep up the good work. Do you find you have enough room for what you have done so far? reason i am asking is that I want to expand myself and I had thought a 90 would be OK size...

i agree with wirehead. i think the tank looks good. i've had the issue with powerheads dropping in the sand and then covering everything with sand. the sunction cups on the powerheads suck.

Thanks for the good feedback!!!

wirehead- actually I wish I got a bigger tank, but a 90 gallon tank has enough room. My tank is 18inches wide, i wish it was 24inches.

Flusher- Hey chris, its been a long time since I talk to you hahaha. The ref is doing good here is a picture

I have the eggcrate in there so hardtube worms and sponges can grow all over it.

There is a 90g that is 24" wide. Much less common than the 18" wide version though. I was lucky & got one to use as my wife's reef & my seahorse tank. The dimensions are 48" long, 24" wide & 18" high.

Sorry, I was rude... Welcome to Canreef and both the tank and sump looks great.
I am planning on the same thing to use the eggcrate with my sump/refugium.

Thanks for the welcome everyone

When I upgrade to a bigger tank i'm going for 24 inches wide or more for sure.

Farrmanchu- Ill do some trading once I get into fragging mode. I fraged some rics for trading but ended up keeping them.

Hey Ryan, nice to see you made it here! And as for your "so its not the greatest looking tank" hope you see with all the comments and compliments you are getting here it isn't true. You also didn't tell them it has only been running for about 1 year.

Looking great, keep it up!
