My flatworms got me so mad today that I broke down and went out to buy some Salifert Flatworm Exit, but when I arrived at J&L Aquatics, they told me that Health Canada pulled them from the shelves. Word is that they will be totally pulled from Canada. Luckily enough I tracked one bottle down, so I am kinda happy there...but to all those people that are gonna need some really soon, go and find some.

Ok, who's the wise guy that brought the aquarium industry to the attention of health canada. If we can't use flatworm exit, what about the rest of the stuff we use, like kalkwasser? Is that next?

You'll notice we have to buy the aquarium grade kalkwasser - as Pickling lime isn't available in canada... It's not because noone in canada does any pickling.

Any idea why Health Canada pulled FWE? That would really suck if that was a permanent thing...

:surprise: Well it should surprise me but for some reason it just figures. Going to check into this with Habib in the Salifert forum at RC.

Oh ok, as long as it's not something that will cause your arm to rot after putting it in the tank to do subsequent water changes :p

I was at Hidden Reef in Abby yesterday and they had a dozen boxes on their shelf.
