Started a thread on Reef Central and thought I'd post it here as well.

Just thought I'd take a few recent tank shots before I upgrade sometime soon here. Took a few fun shots. I really need to get photoshop though as every picture I take is completely washed out.. it sucks. Also, my camera doesn't seem to have the best macro mode, but what can ya do.. You will notice a little bit of hair algae... the growth has slowed since doing frequent water changes and basting my sand, and collecting a lot of it through wet skimming and foam use. I will usually baste, and then use foam in my AC500 for about half hour, rinse it out.. and start all over. It's a big task but it's a fairly simple, effective way to get rid of all the nasties in your sand and built up in the rocks. I also have a Sea Hare that is due back sometime soon.. I loaned him out a while back to a local reefer because he cleaned my tank up in a hurry. Anyhow... enough babble...

Tank info: (for those who don't know..)

- Standard 20g tank. (soon to be a cube of about 60g)
- 24" Aqualight Pro w/ 20k bulb
- AquaC Remora Skimmer
- AquaClear 500 (foam and carbon)
- 2 Seio 620's

My Yellow Watchman Goby. He's been keeping my sand pretty darn clean lately.. This is the one fish I have had the longest since starting out in the hobby.. he's (or she's?) a tough fish.

Some of my zoanthids.. a lot of my others are in really odd angles to get with the camera unfortunately.

Here's a frag of these guys about a month and a half ago , maybe a little less.. the growth has been insane on all my zoos since using Reef-Roids. Same with my yuma's.

A frag from a fellow reefer.. not the greatest growth, but still not bad for a couple months. Tons of baby polyps everywhere.

Some pink's .. nice growth since I added the Aqualight Pro. It's crazy how much a difference adding 2x65w actinics made.

Here's just some more growth shots.. I'm bored

Brownish A. Millepora. Started out as one and a half branches back in November.. I dunno, not the greatest growth. It's a challenge in a 20g just dosing calcium and alk into top-off water.

I can't seem to find the older shot of my red mille, but here's a shot of it from today. Has a nice deep red colour to it.

My BTA has grown quite a bit in the past month since adding the Aqualight Pro as well. Half the reason I'll be upgrading is because of this guy. The last pic was taken about a month and a half ago or so..

The male clown hosts in this as well, and it has grown very well considering this bugger is rubbing up on it all the time.

Crappy shot of the fish feeding. It's the only pic I'll ever get of my fish all together.

Those red zoos are pretty sweet!

They are a lot cooler in person. Don't worry you're first on my list for a frag of these guys. Those eagle eyes (or whatever the name is) you gave me took off .. lots of polyps forming . And they have an awesome intense yellow and orange colour combo, others I've seen seem to be somewhat faded or at least not as vibrant. Anyways.. I'll let you know when they're both ready for fragging.

Hey Scott, hope you don't mind but I took a few of your pics and quickly touched them up on MS office pic Manager a bit. Let me know if you like them. Some of them are still quite washed out but I think that might just be the camera.

Yeah , thanks Danny .. that looks a bit better.

I think the reason my pictures are washed out is because the halides are so close to the tank, there is no room for it to spread.. so it's a huge beam of light and the camera can't handle it... just a guess hah

Looks great, lets see a top down on the clam.

Thanks :)

I'd like to do some top down shots but I use an Aqualight Pro and it takes away the beauty of top down shots and general viewing. It's one thing I miss big time.... I love being able to look at my corals and tank top down..
