If you had a small 20g tank, what would you do with it? I am trying to decide on whether or not to set up a freshwater tank, saltwater, reef, or leave it empty. Anyone want to give me there ideas?

I already have a 90g RR reef tank, for those of you who don't already know!

Do you have a quarantine tank? Could be good for that, if you don't.

Or you could pass it on to a local reefer, if you cannot decide. :D

Here is what I did with an empty tank. When I got my custom 33 from Bow Valley, I had a 33 with stand and light left over. Instead of trying to sell it for peanuts, I got some FW Angels from Jonathan, some Filter sand for the bottom, and some plastic plants. I set it up in my bedroom. When the heat is over I will move it to my living room. Just an idea. :D

I have alot of ripe angel babies that will be ready for new homes soon!

My fav, fw fish which is why I still keep them.

Seriak, if you want to do an angel tank just say the work and some angels will be yours.
I believe I gave Bob 6 for his tank and as yours is a little smaller 4 would be better.

I just might do that. It will take me a little while to set it up, but I will get in touch with you when I do!

Quick question, I believe this tank had a UGF and a standard aquaclear filter. Has their been any changes oin the freshwater area that I may want to consider. I haven't done freshwater in over 5 years.

Angels appreciate water changes. 20 to 50% every few days is good.

your aquaclear will be fine.
i would skip the ugf.

FYI, I have an Aquaclear Mini on my 33. It does fine, and yes forget the UGF, because it is more trouble than it is worth.

So I will skip the UGF. What kind of substrate should I use? Right now I have the standard pebble sized colored rock.

Jonathan, when will your angels be ready and how do I get a hold of you?

PS I would also like to have live plants.

Seriak,
They will be ready in about 3 to 4 weeks.
They are about dime to nickle size now and are best to go at quarter size.

As far as substrate, use what ever suites your fancy.I have alot of plants in my angel tank and I have mixed substrate from 2 to 5mm in diameter.

I usually have quite a few extra live plants in my angel tank but they dont seem to be growing as well latley. When you get the angels I will probably have some extra to give you as well instead of throwing out.

I always find that buying substrate from your LFS is way to expensive. I went to Western Pipe and bought a bag of Filter Sand.($14.95) I really like that.
BTW, if you want some of my Angels you are more than welcome to them.

Everyone seems to have angels just swimming around. What's with that?

This is rapidly becoming a thread belonging in the FW forum. Maybe someone wants to move it there?

I think I am finished so I will just leave it.
